Introducing the One Visit, No Temporary Porcelain Restoration

Tired of wearing those temporary crowns around? Ever had a temporary fall out at a nice restaurant? Burdened by multiple visits to the dental office for restorative work? Concerned about losing too much of your original teeth under those new veneers?

Those days are over. CEREC by Sirona Dental Systems can be used by your dentist to make porcelain veneers, crowns, onlays, and inlays. Using a 3-D camera, your dentist will take digital photos and then design the missing tooth part. The 3-D camera provides a more accurate and in-depth view of the tooth so that the replacement is more precise and therefore more of the original tooth can be conserved. Your dentist will then use robotically controlled drills to cut the porcelain to within 100 mm accuracy. This entire process takes place during one visit and eliminates the need for outside lab work and a temporary crown.
